  $200/day or $100/half-day

  $210/day Upon completion of CPSD Guest Teacher training, substitute is eligible to receive 

 

Clover Park School District is seeking applicants to substitute for regular and special education classroom teachers. We want educators who are committed to a continuing program of professional and personal growth, and who want to be part of a growing, developing school district.

C. Reports to: Building Administrator and Human Resources

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*  Bachelors degree

Washington Emergency Substitute Certified issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

(Substitute Services will assist with this process upon hire.)

 

 

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
The emergency substitute certificate is restricted for use after the list of otherwise qualified substitutes has been exhausted.  Emergency substitutes are assigned through the Human Resources office (Substitute Coordinator), and are not pre-arranged substitutes or building specific.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employee’s responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

 

SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS ARE ON-CALL, AT-WILL POSITIONS WITH NO GUARANTEE OF HOURS OR WORK.

 

Insurance Benefits 

Employees who are anticipated to work 630 hours  during the school year (September 1 through August 31) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, long term disability and basic life insurance benefits.

Retirement and Deferred Compensation 

Eligible employees are required to be a member of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems Plan.  For eligibility information, check on the link to the Department of Retirement Systems' web site. 

Employees also have the ability to participate in tax deferred 403(b) and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans (DCP). These are supplemental retirement savings programs that allows you control over the amount of pre-tax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
